The GIAHC Young Leaders Grant
The Global Initiative Against HPV and Cervical Cancer (GIAHC) Young Leaders program is proud to introduce the GIAHC Young Leaders Grant, a $500 monetary award for students, researchers, advocates, or community activists interested in raising awareness about cervical cancer prevention. Individuals ≤ 30 years of age are eligible to submit a proposal for consideration.

2022 GYL Grant Recipient
Sereena Jivraj
Sereena Jivraj is a MS3 at the Burnett School of Medicine at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas. Her project focuses on the evaluation of socioeconomic factors, gender, and race on human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in North Texas. Thus, her study aims to determine key reasons for discrepancies between the state and national vaccination rates so that efforts can be implemented to increase HPV vaccination rates and decrease the incidence of overall HPV-cancers, especially in at-risk populations.
