GIAHC Partners with Kellogg Sisters Corona Digital Quilt Project

These are indeed difficult times for all. In order to create a tangible expression of the gamut of our pandemic experiences and our hopes for the future, GIAHC has partnered with Kellogg Sisters Corona Quilt Project to link our experiences to those of others, building a web of healing, inspiration, belonging and positive action. It is made up of squares created by people/organizations from around the world, courageously giving voice to our experience.

The idea is to provide people (adults and kids alike) a non-verbal and creative platform to make meaning of this experience and support them in bringing creativity and imagination to express their thoughts. Allowing our hands to speak through colors and shapes can be profound, and by articulating how we feel creatively, we are giving ourselves a chance to process, to sensitively react & articulate, and, to dream beyond this present reality.

Eventually all these narratives will be pieced together by us to create a quilt installation of this collective expression—one that is a meaningful and honest testament to this unique time of change, survival and perseverance. We’d love to receive squares from your network around the world.

Please click here for how to submit your square by September 30th, 2020.
