GIAHC Partners with Clinton Health Initiative Access

GIAHC has signed a MOU with the Clinton Health Initiative Access (CHAI), Rwanda, to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention and the tools that are currently available to eliminate this cancer. The project will be initiated by launching a website to reflect Rwanda’s progress in this field and provide relevant information to attain the goals set forth by the WHO on the cervical cancer elimination initiative.

Women in Asia are diagnosed with cervical cancer at a disproportionately higher rate than the global average. Despite early diagnosis leading to more effective treatment, many factors in the region prevent women from receiving the care that they need, and the consequences are severe, affecting not only women as individuals, but society at large.
