Anisha Loeb, Public Health and Advocacy Committee Leader
Anisha Loeb was born and raised in Seattle, WA. She received her Bachelor’s in Biology from Pitzer College (2018), and her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology and Global Health from the University of Washington (2023). Prior to starting graduate school, she was involved in numerous research projects on cancer biology, genetic manipulation, and therapeutic development. Throughout her graduate studies, she became interested in studying infectious diseases; HPV-related cancers were a happy median between the two! She has conducted projects around implementation strategies of cervical cancer screening programs, the impacts of COVID-19 on screening programs, risk factors related to anal and vulvar lesions, and the association between caregiving and Pap test receipt. She hopes to continue efforts towards global cervical cancer elimination and implement sustainable programs for lasting change. Being a member of GIAHC will give another platform to increase awareness, education, and funding towards this common goal.
